The Inaugural Content Marketing Boot Camp – Review

January 31, 2013 saw the inaugural Content Marketing Boot Camp hit the North-East Lincolnshire town of Cleethorpes, a precursor for events in London on February 13 (SOLD OUT), Liverpool on February 20, Birmingham on March 7 (with more dates to be announced shortly).

Based on the book, Becoming THE Expert: Enhancing Your Business Reputation through ThoughtLeadership Marketing, the all-day seminar focused on the why, when, where, what and how of content marketing. For more than seven hours the audience of seasoned small and medium-sized business marketers talked blogging, PR, online video, social media, email marketing, webinars/events and whitepapers.

The event was, in my humble opinion, a huge success. But of course, I am very biased, so I wanted to include some comments in this blog from the attendees (pictured below).

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the brilliant event yesterday. I found it very useful; it gave me a lot of ideas and has made me feel really positive and excited about helping to improve and grow the companies I am involved with.”
It was very interesting day and I know that we'll be able to take a few ideas away and implement them. The information was also helpful on a personal level for further career development and I thoroughly enjoyed it.”
It was good to know that much of what I thought I should be doing is right (just need to actually do it) and the guest blogging has been an eye opener. Now I know it is the route I need to go I will be more persistent.
